The second graduation of the GR course based on the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Central Asia (Almaty, Kazakhstan)

On July 4 and 5, 2024, there was the second stream of GR&Lobbying course in the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Central Asia (Almaty, Kazakhstan). This is a joint educational project of Edward‘s East Strategies and the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Central Asia (Almaty, Kazakhstan). The speaker at the event was Eduard Voytenko, PhD in Political Science, Director of Edward‘s East Strategies.

On the first day of the course, the speaker touched upon the following topics:

  • Regulation of lobbying activities in Europe and North America.
  • Features of GR and lobbying in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Communication between business and government.
  • The main features of the GR approach to communication with stakeholders.
  • Principles, tools and GR technologies for working with government authorities.
  • Analysis of information influencing the strategy and tactics of promoting interests in government. Drawing up stakeholder maps and developing a GR strategy.
  • Business and industry associations, public institutions, the quasi-sector as a GR platform for promoting and protecting business interests.
  • The role of expert organizations in GR and lobbying activities.
  • PR tools in the implementation of GR and lobbying projects. GR and lobbying project: from the creation algorithm to the implementation technology.

The second day of the event was devoted to the analysis of GR cases from the practice of Edward‘s East Strategies.

Representatives of such companies and organizations as Carlsberg Kazakhstan, Bayer, EUROUZ and others were present among the audience.

At the end of the event, the participants of the master course received certificates from the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Central Asia (Almaty, Kazakhstan) and Edward‘s East Strategies.
