Traffic incidents’ research for Tashkent in the interests of Uzbekistan

Sociologists and analysts of Edward’s East Strategies researched traffic incidents, involving pedestrians in Tashkent, and named the most problematic districts of Tashkent.

Within the period February 2021 – the end of January 2023 over 1000 pedestrian knockdowns were registered in Tashkent. One of the major causes of such traffic incidents – the road crossing activity in non-designated areas (43%), the second one constitutes the non-compliance with speed limits. In two-third cases, these violations lead to pedestrian knockdowns of significant nature.

According to experts of Edward’s East Strategies, the accumulation of big data on trajectories and intensity of pedestrian and vehicle movements will make it possible to offer effective solutions of traffic incidents’ problems.
